Presented by the Boston Area Guild of Puppetry and Somerville Media Center, this evening of puppet films will feature Volume 1 of Handmade Puppet Dreams, the film anthology produced by Heather Henson and Ibex Puppetry. We will also feature a film by Sarah Nolen, Resident Artist at Puppet Showplace Theater, and more. Refreshments will be served, admission is free, but seating is limited. Register here.

All of our meetings have a featured program or speaker to talk about puppetry. If you are not a member you are still welcome to come and see what we're all about!

There will also be Show and Tell, if you would like to bring in a new puppet or projects. Also a potluck dinner during the break, so bring something to share. We will also talk about upcoming events, and this year's Regional Festival. Hope to see you there!

Puppet Slam is an evening of short, theatrical mini-plays for adults. The performers range from the seasoned professional to the nascent puppeteer, and often include poets, musicians, dancers, mimes, actors, and other sundry affiliated artists.

September 18 23, 2018

The Puppeteers of America Northeast and Mid-Atlantic Regions are joining the Puppets in the Green Mountains Festival produced by Sandglass Puppet Theater for Puppet Homecoming 2018. Open to professionals, students, and puppetry enthusiasts, PH 2018 will be a weekend of workshops, shows, camaraderie, special events, and more. This is the tenth edition of Sandglass Theater's international festival in Brattleboro, Vermont. This year's Festival, titled Opening Our Doors, September 18 23, 2018, is 6 days of performances that foster a spirit of inclusivity and are designed for both children and adults. You can visit the Homecoming Website to learn more about it. Another is planned for 2014.
